LGBT+ OUTreach Business Mixer
On September 24th, 2024, Pride Resource Partners participated in LGBT+ OUTreach Business Mixer, organized by the San Diego LGBT Community Center and San Diego Gas & Electric, and held at the Center. The event focused on expanding contracting opportunities for the LGBT+ community, bringing together suppliers, buyers, and community allies, all united in a shared goal of creating a lasting impact.
The mixer was intended to open doors to new opportunities and support the success of LGBT-owned and -operated businesses in our community. Panelists—including Pride’s CEO Joe Maak as well as Samantha Scholl of BBB and Daniel Fitzgerald of SDBC—shared their insights and discussed key strategies for fostering inclusivity and building a stronger pipeline of opportunities. Among the attendees were Councilmember Stephen Whitburn and San Diego Gas & Electric‘s Vice President of Gas Operations Tashonda Taylor.
